Green gabion mats are a professional engineering protective material, belonging to the gabion mesh series, but with unique structural and functional characteristics.
Green gabion mats are made of high-strength steel wire woven into a double-twisted hexagonal mesh structure using specialized machinery. This special weaving process ensures that even if individual steel wires are damaged, the overall structure will not disintegrate. The standard thickness is relatively thin, typically between 0.15-0.5 meters, forming a flat mesh structure that facilitates large-area installation. Internally, partitions are installed at 1-meter intervals, dividing the mat into continuous cells, enhancing structural stability and ensuring uniform distribution of the filling material.
Regarding material configuration, the basic configuration uses hot-dip galvanized steel wire, providing sufficient corrosion protection in ordinary environments. The medium configuration uses zinc-aluminum alloy steel wire (Galfan), suitable for corrosive environments, with a service life 2-3 times that of ordinary galvanized wire. The high-end configuration wraps the galvanized steel wire with a PVC or PE protective layer, forming a double anti-corrosion system, suitable for projects with special requirements. The wire diameter can be selected between 2.0-3.0 mm depending on project needs.
In terms of design concept and features, the Green Beach Mat embodies the harmonious unity of engineering protection and ecological environment. Its porous structure ensures free water exchange, providing natural conditions for vegetation growth. The filling gaps between stones allow soil to accumulate naturally, promoting plant growth. Ultimately, it forms an ecological landscape that blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment and possesses excellent ecological restoration capabilities.
