Gabion sacks are cylindrical, flexible containers made of double-twisted steel wire mesh that are filled with stones or other materials on-site to create durable structures. They are commonly used for emergency applications, such as river control, flood defense, and bank stabilization, due to their quick installation and ability to withstand water erosion.

Core Structure
Mesh bag material: Gabion Sacks are made of hot-dip galvanized or Galfan low carbon steel wire, double-twisted hexagonal weave.
Wire Diameter: 2.2–3.0 mm for the mesh body. Thicker selvedge wire is used at the opening and lacing areas for reinforcement.
Opening Design: A filling port is provided at one end or on the side for quick filling.
Sealing Method: Equipped with matching binding wire or metal fasteners, tightened after filling.
Product Features
Flexible Shape
Cylindrical or pillow-shaped, can be stacked to fit the terrain, especially suitable for curved shorelines, dike toes, and narrow ditches.
Extremely Fast Construction
No assembly required; simply unfold the bag, fill, and seal. One person can operate, completing several bags per hour.
Suitable for Underwater Operations
Can be filled directly with stones in water or on muddy ground without drainage or foundation treatment.
Convenient Emergency Storage
Can be folded for storage when unfilled, occupying little space; the packaged volume is only 0.6-0.8m³, convenient for emergency warehouse storage.
Installation Method
Site Preparation
Remove sharp objects; lay geotextile if necessary.
Unfolding the Bag
Unfold the folded bag with the filling port facing upwards.
Fill with stones
Use a loader, excavator, or manually to load in stones of uniform size. Fill to approximately 90% of the bag's capacity.
Sealing
Tightly tie the filling opening and lock it with binding wire or fasteners.
Throwing or Stacking
Drop single bags or stack them in layers according to design requirements. When throwing underwater, carefully control the drop height (≤2m) to prevent bag breakage.
Connection and Reinforcement
When using multiple bags, connect them with binding wire to form a unified structure.
Common uses
1.Riverbank protection, river widening, and flood control dike reinforcement.
2.Emergency management of debris flows/landslides, and temporary erosion control during the flood season.
3.Toe protection for bridge piers across rivers, and foundation protection for drainage outlets and culverts.
4.Agricultural slope retaining walls, and sand stabilization on desertified slopes.
Company Strength
Founded in 2016, our company owns a 5,000-square-meter factory and over 100 skilled employees. Our core equipment includes imported fully automatic hexagonal wire mesh weaving machines and a complete anti-corrosion production line. Daily production capacity is 100,000 square meters, and annual production capacity exceeds 5 million square meters. Our products are ISO 9001, CE, and other certifications, and conform to ASTM and EN international standards. Our products are exported to over 30 countries and have participated in international projects such as the Dubai artificial islands and Mekong River flood control. We possess one-stop supply capabilities for large-scale water conservancy, transportation, and coastal engineering projects.

FAQ
Q: Can Gabion Sacks be directly filled underwater?
A: Yes. After sealing on the surface, they can be thrown into the designated location, or placed with underwater assistance.
Q: Is the lifespan of Gabion Sacks affected by the environment?
A: Mainly depends on the corrosion resistance level. Galfan is used at sea, and galvanized steel is used inland.
Q: How long is the warranty period? How is human-caused damage determined?
A: Ten-year warranty. Free replacement for broken wires or large-area peeling of the coating due to material or workmanship defects. Mechanical scratches, cuts from sharp objects, or breakage from throwing beyond the designated area are not covered by the warranty.
