Simple Checks Before Installing Welded Gabion Panels

Jun 22, 2026

Welded gabion panels need a few simple checks before installation. First, check the panel size, wire diameter, mesh opening, and coating surface. If the panels do not match the design, the basket may not line up well after assembly. The corners, spirals, clips, and stiffeners should also be counted before work starts. Missing connection parts can slow down the whole site, especially when many baskets must be installed on the same day.

The second check is the base. A flat and firm base helps the front face stay straight after stone filling. When the basket is used as a wall, stiffeners should be placed correctly to reduce bulging. Stone filling should not be rushed at the visible face. Workers can place better-looking stones at the front and fill the inner part after that. These small steps make welded gabion panels easier to install and help the finished wall look cleaner, stronger, and more even.
